Shadangapaniya Kwatha Churna – Revinto (100 g)

 

Indications

  • Used traditionally in fever (Jwara) to relieve thirst, burning sensation, dizziness, and diarrhea

  • Helps in Raktapitta (bleeding disorders), poisoning, and alcohol-related disturbances

  • Supports Pitta and Vata balance

  • Also employed for indigestion, dehydration, and general detoxification


Key Ingredients (Six-Herb Formula)

Each herb contributes approximately equal proportions:

  • MustaCyperus rotundus

  • ParpatakaFumaria indica / parvifolia

  • Usheera (Ushira / Ambu)Vetiveria zizanioides / Plectranthus vettiveroides

  • ChandanaSantalum album (Sandalwood)

  • Udeechya / Hrivera – other aromatic herbs (vetiver­de­rived)

  • Nagara (Shunti)Zingiber officinale


Benefits

  • Effective in managing fever by quenching thirst and reducing heat

  • Balances Pitta and Vata Doshas, and mildly pacifies Kapha due to bitter (tikta), astringent (kashaya), sweet (madhura) tastes

  • Promotes detoxification, supports digestion, and relieves excessive sweating or thirst

  • Offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and hydrating effects during acute conditions like fever or heat stress


Dosage & Preparation

  • Mix 5–10 g powder in 100–150 ml boiling water; steep ~5 minutes, strain, and drink

  • Consume twice daily or as directed by an Ayurvedic practitioner

  • Classic Paniya preparation: 1 part powder boiled with 64 parts water and reduced to half volume; 100 ml dose is common


Precautions

  • Use only under Ayurvedic medical supervision

  • Not recommended for self-medication

  • High doses may irritate the stomach and potentially cause gastritis

  • Store in a cool, dry place

  • Keep out of reach of children
