Amavatari Ras is a classical Ayurvedic medicine traditionally used to manage Amavata, which closely correlates with rheumatoid arthritis, joint inflammation, stiffness, bursitis, and related musculoskeletal issues. 

Key Ingredients

• Shodhit Parad (Purified Mercury)

• Shodhit Gandhak (Purified Sulfur)

• Shodhit Guggulu (Commiphora mukul)

• Triphala: Haritaki, Bibhitaki & Amalaki

• Chitraka Moola (Plumbago zeylanica root)

• Erand Taila (Castor Oil)

These combined ingredients aim to detoxify (“Ama”), balance Vata–Pitta doshas, reduce inflammation, and relieve joint pain & stiffness.

Uses, Dosage & Benefits

• Primary uses: Rheumatoid arthritis, early osteoarthritis, low back pain, bursitis, post-fever joint pain and stiffness.

• Mechanism: Balances Vata–Pitta dosha and aids in digestion of Ama (toxic metabolic waste), supporting mobility and reducing inflammation.

• Recommended dose: Typically 250–500 mg once or twice a day (equivalent to ~1–2 tablets), often with warm water, honey, or specially prepared Kadha like Maharasnadi/Kwath. Taken before or after food as directed by an Ayurvedic physician. Duration commonly up to 1 month depending on the stage of disease
